What should we send with an audit RFP?

The RFP itself if you have one, plus your most recent audited financial statements or Form 990 if you are comfortable sharing them. If you do not have a formal RFP, the short form on this page gives us enough to start the conversation.

We do not have a formal RFP. Can we still ask for a proposal?

Yes. Many organizations, especially those getting their first audit, simply ask a few firms for proposals. Fill in the form and a CPA will reach out to learn about your organization before preparing a proposal.

Do you respond to RFPs for Single Audits?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We perform Single Audits under 2 CFR 200 Subpart F and audits under Government Auditing Standards (the Yellow Book), as well as financial statement audits, reviews and agreed-upon procedures.

How are your fees presented?

Accepted Answer

Our proposal includes transparent, fair fees in writing, with what is included each year, so your board can compare firms on the same basis.

Question 5

Can we switch auditors partway through a multi-year contract?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your contract terms, but organizations commonly change auditors at the end of a contract period or when their needs change, such as reaching the Single Audit threshold. See our guide to switching nonprofit auditors.
